All programming at the Library is offered free of charge. We try to offer a wide range of programs, for adults and children of all ages.
Children's Programs:
Mother Goose Morning
- Infants 0 - 12 months

Toddler Story Time
- Ages 2 - 3 years
- Wednesday mornings @ 10:15am
- Weekly sessions, begins October 3rd.
- A fun combination of stories, rhymes, songs and sometimes crafts!
Pre-School Story Time
- Ages 3 - 5 years
- Thursday mornings @ 10:15am
- Weekly sessions, begins October 4th
Saturday Crafternoon
- Grades 1 - 7
- Every Saturday of the month starting October 6th

Illustration Station
- Grades 1 - 7

Reading Buddies
- Wednesdays @ 3:30 – 4:30pm
- October - May
- Children in Grades 2 and 3 are paired with a young adult to practice and improve their reading skills. Teenage volunteers must be at least thirteen years old. Volunteer hours can be used to meet School and community organization volunteer requirements.

Red Cedar Book Club
- Thursday @ 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
- Grades 4 - 7
- October through April
- Students in Grades 4 through 7 are invited to join this lively reading group, which is British Columbia’s version of the Young Readers Choice Awards. Members challenge themselves to read the nominees for the Red Cedar Award in fiction and non-fiction categories. Participants discuss the various books and every member who reads at least five books in a category is eligible to vote for the Red Cedar Award winner. Summer Reading Club
Every July and August the Library offers a Summer Reading Club in collaboration with the B.C. Library Association. The Club has three main elements:
A Reading Competition: Children are divided into three age groups and track their progress throughout the summer using Reading Records and a large mural in the Library. At the end of the summer, there are prizes for every child, medals for the top 175 readers, and special prizes for the top three readers in each categories.
Summer Story Times
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, 10:30 – 11:30 for children 6 and younger. Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, 2 – 3 p.m. for children 7 and older.

Free One-On-One Computer Skills Training
- Learn basic computer skills
- Learn at your own pace
- You choose what you want to learn
- Learn specific programs or familiarize yourself with how to use your computer
- Learn how to navigate the Internet, Facebook, Twitter, other social media

Avid Reader's Book Club
This group meets at the Library at 7 p.m., the first Wednesday of each month, from October to June. Books are chosen by the group members from a wide variety of genres, formats and subject matters. New members are welcome.
Spring Blooms
Every year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, the Library, in collaboration with the north Peace Horticultural Society organizes a day devoted to gardens and flowers.
