About

Our Vision

Connecting people and knowledge, fueling imaginations and energizing our world.

Our Mission

The Fort St. John and Area Public Library is a community cornerstone, providing a variety of information and support for lifelong learning in a welcoming, entertaining and safe environment.  The library hosts creative, community-oriented programs and delivers top-notch customer service.

The FSJPL is one of few remaining Library Associations in the province of BC and is governed by Part 4 of the Library Act. Library Associations receive no direct tax support and operate on grants and fundraising.

The FSJPL charges fees for photocopying, printing, faxing, laminating and exam invigilation. As a non-profit organization, these fees are charged to help defray the cost of supplying these services to the community of Fort St John.
